Gov Perry again?

Gov. Rick Perry has opened the door to his possible running again in 2010. That pronouncement (it was not an announcement) brought the Left to the smelling salts.

If he is so unpopular (his adversaries consider him the 38% governor), why the fear?

Is this reason for alarm? Or are elected officials considering another run more accountable to the taxpayers?

Some Texans have reason to oppose some of the Governor's policies, but all in all, Gov. Perry has been a taxpayer advocate. Ok, I'll admit my beef -- we don't need the state in an arms race to attempt to cure cancer. I want a cure to cancer, but don't think the State of Texas is going to get us there -- no matter how deep they dig into my pocket.

But let's get real. Gov. Perry is a superstar among the conservatives across the country. What are our alternatives? We may end up with two cheerleaders running for Governor of Texas on the Republican ticket. Let the games begin!
